Welding Team Lead - 2nd Shift

Essential Functions

• Oversees the Welding team responsibilities with assigned projects, including but not limited to delegating tasks to appropriate team members, pre-check for quality assurance, verifying blueprints, ensuring project completion is timely, team safety measures are being followed
• Involved in training of new hires and initial and written corrective action for team members
• Welds projects based on blueprints assigned from Engineering
• Utilizes the MRP/ERP systems to monitor productivity and use the information for team improvements, celebrations, project delegation, goal setting, etc.
• Physical Ability to stand, stoop, bend, sit and crawl
• Ability to lift up to 80lbs assisted and move around equipment
• Utilize and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including safety glasses and steel toe boots in assigned areas/times
• Any other assigned responsibility from supervisor, manager, or other members of the executive or senior team

Required Characteristics

• Ability to follow and enforce company policies and procedures
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Have a safety mentality to follow and enforce safety protocol

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• Long term relationship with the company
• Proficient at TIG and MIG welding, grinding, and finish grinding - Tier 2 Welding skills required
• Valid Driver License

Travel Requirements

• Local as required for the role
