The Quality Control Technician assists the Production team with implementation of company-wide operations procedures and processes to support the overall Quality Assurance plan. This role supports Quality improvement throughout the shop floor and within the team concept. Participates as a cross-functional team member within assigned goal-oriented team responsibility.
Responsibilities:
- Inspection of incoming materials & components, ABEC manufactured items, and assembled systems in order to ensure conformance to established quality standards and all related quality documentation requirements.
- Conduct in-process inspections and prepare reporting documents as required during manufacturing.
- Conduct QC reviews of equipment during and after production and final assembly: ensure BOM's are accurate and adhered to, documents via Intranet systems any deviations.
- Final Inspection of Equipment and parts for approval of packaging/crating of equipment
- Conduct various administrative functions as required in support of Quality Department activities.
- Responsible for controlling & maintaining test equipment and calibration of test equipment.
- Filing of project-related and Quality Department documentation.
- in the auditing of project Turnover Packages (TOPs).
- Interaction with customers and vendors as needed.

- Physical inspection of manufactured parts to verify conformance to design drawings and related specifications (material, dimensional, surface finish, etc.).
- Ensure accurate and complete receipt of all required quality-related documentation.
- Travel to other facilities, vendor locations or customer sites as required to support Quality Department activities.
- Follow all safety rules and policies.
- Execute other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
Requirements:
- HS Diploma minimum, associate degree in a technical field preferred.
- 3+ years manufacturing experience; stainless steel fabrication industry preferred.
- 3 years post graduate work in a related field or function.
- Certified Quality Inspector, (CQI) / Certified Quality Technician (CQT) preferred but not mandatory
- Experience with GMP's and food industry preferred.
