Production Supervisor

Nothum Food Processing Systems is a family-owned, oriented, and operated local business. Celebrating 50 years of business in the Springfield, MO community in 2021 - there has never been a better time to join our team! We are looking for a full-time Production Supervisor to join our team.

Primary Function: Responsible for the production teams within the assigned company location

Essential Functions:

• Ensure all departments within the assigned zone are present, accounted for, and performing job duties in an efficient manner
• Maintain strong knowledge of the machines and tools within the location - including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
• Communicate with team leads regarding employee attendance, job performance, and other department topics on a daily basis
• Ensure all projects are moving through departments in a timely manner, and if necessary identify and correct all issues to ensure deadlines are met
• Properly determine project requirements, such as score, assembly sequences, or other required methods/materials using blueprints, drawings, or other written/verbal instructions
• Ensure all work is done as directed by the Assistant Production Manager.
• Partner with all locations as necessary to maintain the given production schedule
• Physical Ability to stand, stoop, bend, sit and crawl
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs assisted and move around equipment
• Any other assigned responsibility from the Production Manager or other members of the executive or senior team

Required Characteristics:

• Ability to follow and enforce company policies and procedures
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Have a safety mentality to follow and enforce safety protocol
• Ensure building security is maintained daily, including using building keys and assigned security codes
• Have strong written and oral communication abilities to relay critical information and basic reports to both managers and coworkers

Required Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver License
• Valid Auto Insurance
• 3+ years in a manufacturing environment
• 2+ years in a leadership role externally or 1+ year internally

Travel Requirements:

• Local travel as needed
