Process Improvement Specialist

Nothum Food Processing Systems is a family-owned, oriented, and operated local business. We are looking for a full-time Senior Process Improvement Specialist to join our team to provide process assessment and improvement services to our many Food Processing Customers.

Essential Function:

• Travel to plants to 'dial' in their existing Nothum equipment to maximize savings, yields, etc.
• Create reports with recommendations, findings, etc.
• Investigate and solve issues at Customer's who are struggling with equipment due to process or mechanical issues
• Help with equipment tests in PTC and Customer's plants
• Train customers on line optimization
• Work with service manager to develop and implement a line optimization training program
• Work with service manager to develop and implement a 'Nothum' service tech training program for onboarding new service techs
• Help with new equipment installs and bringing equipment on-line
• Help with PM's as needed (but as little as possible)
• When feasible, visit plants prior to PM's to assess scope of work and needed parts
• Reports to Service Manager
• Other duties as assigned

Required Characteristics:

• Possess good customer service skills
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Leadership skills; mentoring

Required Education and Experience:

• Food Processing (Production) background
• Familiar with all aspects of Nothum Equipment (Batter, Breader and Fryer)
• Familiar with the needs and concerns of our Food Processing Customers

Travel Requirements:

• Up to 100% travel can be expected
• Long hours can be required during installations and startups
• Possible off-shifts (nights and split-shifts) required
• Weekends and holidays are possible
