Facilities Cleaning Technician

Cleans and maintains all areas of all Nothum facilities, including but not limited to offices, public buildings,
office buildings, restroom facilities, shops, etc. Perform cleaning duties as assigned by a supervisor or
manager in accordance with company policies & procedures; perform routine maintenance on equipment
such as vacuums, shampoos, scrubbers, dusters, etc. Maintain a clean work area according to safety
standards.

Detailed Job Duties include but are not limited to:
Pull all shop trash, replace trash liners as needed.
Broom sweep and pick up all departments and work areas, including around parts racks, gates, post and
doorways.
Pick up all trash and debris from and around work areas including walkways, aisles.
Mop and bucket with floor cleaner to mop under and around work stations, walls, shelves. Must change
out the solution in mop bucket for each area and task. ONLY USE MACHINE SHOP MOP AND BUCKET IN
MACHINE SHOP AREA. Collect all cardboard waste and place it in the recycling unit.
Restock towel, toilet paper, soap, and disposable silverware dispensers
Perimeter areas are to be trash free, cigarette free including debris around trash dumpsters.
All waste pallets must be cut up daily and discarded into the trash dumpster.
All computer screens and monitors need to be wiped down daily, including keyboard, also workstation table
areas.
The floor machine is to be emptied and clean rinsed daily, while in use machine needs collection head to be
cleaned to avoid water and debris trails left on the floor.
Once clean rinsed. The floor machine must be parked incorrect location with a charger attached daily.
Breaks and lunchtime will follow with an audible buzzer, or times set by the supervisor.
Smoking is allowed in the designated smoke area east side of the building during break and lunchtimes.
No cell phones are allowed while on the shop floor or while working on the property.
Correct clothing, safety glasses (where required), and footwear must be worn at all times including gloves
for the task assigned.
The additional task may be assigned by the supervisor for temporary coverage in other areas or departments as
needed.
Any additional task outside of the description of duties must be tracked with start time and finish time to be
relayed to supervisor
Other duties and tasks will include hot and cold temperatures and other inclement weather must plan
accordingly to be prepared for the task assigned.
All recycling must be put and discarded incorrect locations. (Metal, plastic, cardboard)
All MATERIAL CHANGE OUT trash cans are to be discarded into trash NOT recycling containers

Qualifications
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability and willingness for continuous improvement in cleaning techniques, equipment, materials
used on the job site (ie: vacuums/cleaners)
Strong communication skills with both customers and supervisory staff; ability to work
independently as well as being flexible when needed by customers
Previous EVS experience a plus
