Assistant Production Manager

Nothum Food Processing Systems is a family-owned, oriented, and operated local business. Celebrating 50 years of business in the Springfield, MO community in 2021 - there has never been a better time to join our team! We are looking for a full-time Assistant Production Manager to join our team.

Primary Function: Responsible for MRP functions, equipment maintenance and partnering with supervisors, planning, quality and continuous improvement

Essential Functions:

• Direct contact for the MRP to the IT Department
• Oversight of productivity, efficiency measures, and work center optimization and communicates with supervisors and continuous improvement specialist on results
• Monitors the WIP and throughput and coordinates with Scheduling and Supervisors as necessary
• Monitors results of new Continuous Improvement Strategies and partners with Continuous Improvement Specialist as necessary
• Oversee Internal Production Tier Testing
• Create and Monitor PM Schedule
• Directly manages Production Maintenance Tech

Required Characteristics:

• Able to work a flexible schedule
• Detail Oriented
• Ability to follow and enforce company policies and procedures
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Have a safety mentality to follow and enforce safety protocol
• Ensure building security is maintained daily, including using building keys and assigned security codes
• Have strong written and oral communication abilities to relay critical information and basic reports to both managers and coworkers

Required Education & Experience:

• 3 years in manufacturing leadership role
• Knowledge of welding, machining tooling, press brake operation, robotics
• 5 years using an MRP system
• Valid Driver's License
• High School diploma

Travel Requirements:

• Local travel /- 10%
